We packed up the crib for storage for the very last time. We've had that crib for 6+ years, handed down from Keeley to Kaelin to Aidan to Ainsley. It's emotional putting it to rest in the dark attic! We always had to "kick" one baby out and put them in a big kid bed earlier than usual so we could put another baby it (and avoid having two cribs!)...but this time was a bit slower with no bambino behind her. So...Ainsley is in a very big girl bed now (looking like a tiny pea in a pod). She got to pick the comforter set and decor for her room. Luckily she has good taste and what she picked matches her walls (well actually we narrowed it down to a few picks for her to be sure it did...). She did awesome last night, slept through the whole night with no problem and just came strolling into our room this morning with a "Where's Daddy?". She so proud of herself "I'm bigger now!" she exclaims.
Now that we are settled back from vacation and have a couple days of peace before recitals, etc. and a couple weeks before summer camp(s) gears up, we decided it was a good time to also begin potty training Ainsley. We almost can't believe that our house will soon be free from diapers. And, we're looking forward to the extra $$'s in savings every week too! So, Ainsley's been wearing little girl undies and doing really well so far (the last 36 hours anyway!). We'll see how it goes when Mommy heads to LA this week and is not asking her every 30 minutes if she "has to go"...
We're so very proud of you Ainsley Marin!!
